Weir Bridge Day Use Area
Weir Bridge crosses the Milk River about 30 minutes east of the Town of Milk River. The day use area includes a shelter, camp kitchen, and boat launch for canoeing on the Milk River.

Ridge Park Day Use
The boat launch, beach, camp kitchen, playground, and walking path at the Ridge Park Campground are available for day use. Please visit the Campground page for more information.


Chin Park Day Use

Heningers Reservoir
Heningers Reservoir is about 50 km NE of the Town of Milk River. This is a conservation site that was created in partnership with Alberta Conservation Association (ACA), Alberta Fish & Game Association, Government of Alberta, and County of Warner. Recreational opportunities include upland game bird and waterfowl hunting, and nature viewing and photography. Fishing is not permitted.


Tyrrell Lake
Tyrrell Lake is a saline lake east of highway 4, about 15 minutes south from the Village of Stirling. It is staging area for waterfowl, including snow geese and tundra swans. A perfect area for bird watching for species such as black-crowned night-heron, double-crested cormorants, and pintail. Work by the County of Warner is ongoing to improve water quality and potentially stock the lake with fish for sport fishing.


West Ridge Stewardship Initiative
The West Ridge Stewardship Initiative started as a partnership between the County of Warner and Alberta Conservation Association (ACA). Shrubs have been planted, educational signs installed, and livestock fending erected, to improve wildlife habitat and encourage the population growth of native species. A wetland was created about 10 minutes south of the Town of Raymond on Highway 844 to filter water going into the Milk River River Ridge Reservoir and improve water quality. The wetland has walking paths and permanent picknick tables to stroll around and take in this conservation area.


New Dayton Community Centre
The New Dayton Community Centre is ran by the New Dayton Recreation Association. Please contact them for information on this facility.


Masinasin Community Hall
The Masinasin Community Hall is ran by the Masinasin Recreation Board. Please contact them for information on this facility.


Wrentham Community Centre & Curling Rink
The Wrentham Community Centre & Curling Rink is ran by the Wrentham Community Centre Board. Please contact them for information on this facility.


Wrentham Community Library
The Wrentham Community Library (aka Sylvia Hirsche Memorial Library) is located in the hamlet of Wrentham. It is part of the Chinook Arch Library System, so while you visit this local gathering hub you can borrow from the catalogue across the member locations.



Other Organizations

Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park
Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park is located about 30 minutes east of the Town of Milk River. This Provincial Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a number of archaeological sites including the greatest concentration of rock art on the North American Great Plains. Urban Municipalities
There are five urban municipalities located within the County of Warner that contain different levels of community and recreation facilities.

Town of Raymond
The Town of Raymond has an aquatic centre, beach volleyball, baseball diamonds, disc golf course, golf course, ice arena, tennis courts, stampede grounds, and Victoria Sports Park.

Village of Stirling
The Village of Stirling has an outdoor swimming pool, community centre, playground, and baseball diamonds.

Village of Warner
The Village of Warner has an ice arena, curling rink, athletic centre, Devil's Coulee Dinosaur Museum, and more.

Town of Milk River
The Town of Milk River has a golf course, curling rink, outdoor swimming pool, civic centre, baseball diamonds, and playgrounds.

Village of Coutts
The Village of Coutts has a spray park and playground, tennis courts, outdoor pickle ball courts, outdoor basketball courts, rodeo grounds, ball diamonds, volleyball court, and rec hall.

Each municipality also hosts different events such as Coutts Days, Stirling Settler Days, Canada Day parades, and Milk River Bonanza Day.
